EAST INDIA ELEVATORS LTD. executed the installation of multiple passenger-cum-goods elevator systems with capacities up to 1000 kg at the NPCIL nuclear power facility. These elevators serve critical vertical transport needs across various plant levels, supporting both personnel movement and logistics operations within one of India’s landmark nuclear power sites.
The Rawatbhata site, also known as the Rajasthan Atomic Power Station (RAPS), holds historic significance as one of India’s earliest and largest nuclear power projects. The first pressurized heavy water reactor (PHWR) at Rawatbhata achieved sustained nuclear fission in the early 1970s, marking a pivotal moment in India’s indigenous nuclear power programme. Over subsequent decades, the facility has expanded to include multiple PHWR units with a combined electrical capacity of over 1,180 MW, with continued expansion including advanced 700 MW reactors contributing to India’s strategic energy goals.

The elevator installations at NPCIL strengthen vertical accessibility and operational efficiency across one of India’s foundational nuclear power stations. By delivering reliable, high-capacity passenger-cum-goods lift solutions, EAST INDIA ELEVATORS LTD. supports NPCIL’s mission of maintaining safe, dependable plant operations reinforcing our capability to serve technically demanding, mission-critical industrial environments.
